Summers Place Auctions are open for business and unless the government changes its current policy, our live auction on 24th March and sealed bid deadline the day after are going ahead as planned.
If however, clients do not wish to attend our auction we would remind them that they can leave commission bids with us or bid over the phone, subject to availability. We would encourage clients to book phone lines with us as early as possible before the auction.
Purchasers also have the ability to participate in our auctions over the live internet bidding platform the-saleroom.com but this does attract additional charges.
Our experts are also happy to provide condition reports and provide additional images for any item in the sale and many of these can already be found with the lot descriptions on this website.
We will still be able to process payments, but would encourage clients to arrange bank transfers rather than card payments.
Summers Place Auctions will not be charging any storage fees for either bought or unsold lots during the current crisis.
We have spoken to a number of our carriers and shippers all of whom are aiming to provide as comprehensive a service as possible, within any legal and logistical constraints.
Summers Place Auctions would like to reassure our clients that we are prioritising the safety of everyone who works with us including clients and staff.
